What to expect on Sunday morning
Infants to 3’s
Our youngest Grace Kids receive loving care by nurturing, trained volunteers. Children in this age group take part in fun, Bible teaching and activities that help them understand God’s Word and who He is. We are currently using Orange Curriculum for our babies through 3’s classes. For questions or more information, contact Colleen.
Pre-K and Kindergarten
Our Pre-K and Kindergarten class builds upon what they learned in their nursery classes. Grace Kids teachers provide interactive, age-appropriate teaching and activities where children deepen their understanding of God’s word and what it means to have a relationship with Him. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes use the Orange curriculum.
1st to 3rd Grade
The 1st- 3rd graders participate in praise and worship, share announcements, pray, and hear a message from our volunteers using the Orange curriculum.
4th and 5th Grade
Route 45 is a fun and exciting ministry designed specifically to meet the needs of 4th and 5th graders. We seek to provide an environment when they can grow and be challenged in their faith and learn how their relationship with Christ effects how they live and make decisions. We desire for Route 45-ers to take “ownership” of their faith and put it into action. For questions or more information for PreK through 5th grade, contact Rachel Taylor.
When you enter through the Commons, you will see signs pointing you toward Grace Kids. At the Grace Kids entrance, you will be welcomed by our Grace Kids staff at our Welcome Desk.
If this is your first visit, you can check in at the Grace Kids Welcome Desk. You will be asked to fill out a registration card and for security reasons, be given a card and pick up number. Our greeters will also help direct you to your child(ren)’s classroom(s).
Please make sure you have your cell phone with you during the service. We have a text messaging system through which we communicate with our parents should we need you. If you receive a text from us, please meet our Grace Kids staff at the Grace Kids entrance.
For babies and toddlers, please bring a labeled diaper bag including the following:
- Disposable diapers
- Change of clothes
- Pacifier, blanket, or other comfort item
- Bottle of milk, formula, juice, or water
If there is an allergy, please let us know and make sure it is noted on your child’s name tag.
Grace Kids desires to provide a healthy environment in the Children’s Ministry at Grace Bible Church, and asks that parents keep their child at home when they observe any of the following symptoms:
- Fever within the last 24 hours
- Vomiting and/or diarrhea
- Any symptoms of or exposure to measles, mumps, chicken pox, strep throat, flu, etc.
- Common cold, persistent cough, sore throat
- Any unexplained rash or skin infection (boils, ringworm, impetigo, etc.)
- Pink eye or other eye infection
- Any colored discharge from the nose
- Any contagious disease
If a child is being treated with an antibiotic, he or she should have received treatment for at least 24 hours before coming. A child must be fever free, without medication, for at least 24 hours before coming.
If it becomes apparent that a child shows evidence of any of the above symptoms while under the Grace Kids Ministry care, Grace Kids Staff will notify the parent immediately so that Grace Kids can protect the health of the other children and volunteers.
