Larry King Accountant
Larry began serving Grace Bible Church in the position of Accountant in June 2023, having been asked by church leadership to consider coming out of a one-year retirement. He received a clear call from the Lord to do this. The brief retirement followed a fifty-year career as a Certified Public Accountant, during which he worked in public accounting and the oil & gas, real estate, and nonprofit industries. Larry is grateful for the opportunity to utilize his experience and skills to directly serve the Lord and His people at Grace.
Larry grew up in Lubbock in a loving family with 3 sisters, and after graduating from Texas Tech University in 1971, moved to Dallas to begin his accounting career while also serving as a Captain in the US Army Reserve for eight years. After a few years in Dallas, he met Nancy Lott, who was also an accountant and who became his much-loved wife in 1980. They have now been together for over 44 years. They began attending church together even while dating and became believers in 1981 when they finally heard the true Gospel and message of Christ and trusted Him. They have two children, Paul and Kristi, who grew up at GBC after Larry & Nancy joined the church in 1987. Ever since, for 37 years now, Grace Bible Church has been integral and valuable in their lives. They all thank God for bringing them to this body of believers.
Larry & Nancy now have 6 grandkids, from ages 5 to 18, and delight in being grandparents and spending as much time as possible with their granddaughter and five grandsons, all close by. Larry enjoys swimming, gardening, biking, Bible studies, small groups and simply being with Nancy, his kids, and grandkids, and our friends while seeking to enjoy life as much as possible each day as it comes. Larry knows that the Lord Jesus has blessed him greatly in this life and rejoices that everything he has received in life is precious gifts from God and all belong to Him-all praise be to Jesus.
