Jeff Sherwood Care Pastor
Jeff was raised in Greenport, LI, NY where at the age of 14 while attending a church youth camp trusted in Christ as his savior. He received his BA from The King’s College then located in Briarcliff Manor, NY. He went on to receive his Th. M from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1977.
Jeff served on staff at Grace from 1982 to 1987 as Associate Pastor of Career Ministry and Christian Education. In 1988, Jeff became the Pastor of Bacton Hill Bible Church in Malvern, PA where he remained until 2016.
After 28 years in PA, he retired and along with his wife Linda returned to Dallas. Sensing it was time to do something a little different, Jeff started a small handyman business. He and Linda began attending Grace and it wasn’t long before Jeff took on a variety of roles: Adult Bible Teacher, Elder, interim Executive Pastor, and now has accepted the role of Care Pastor.
Jeff enjoys conversations with people, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys (he and Linda became friends while attending games at Texas Stadium), handyman projects, and occasionally playing a round of golf.
Jeff is humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve here at Grace. He desires that the joy of the Lord would be his strength to enable him to encourage others as they live out their faith in the 21st Century.
