Global Engagement

In June 1954, Grace Bible Church approved its first missionaries, Bradford and Betty Lapsley, to serve in Ethiopia through Sudan Interior Mission (SIM), providing $25 per month in support. Today, we support 36 workers through ongoing monthly giving. Many of our long-term workers are our own friends and family, reflecting our commitment to sending people from our church to share the gospel of Jesus Christ among the nations.

Beyond ongoing support, Global Engagement provides opportunities to participate in gospel work through events, training, and short-term mission trips. Some are called to go across the world; others serve through prayer, giving, or faithfully sharing the gospel right where God has placed them.

Our hope is to help you discover how God is calling you to take part in the Great Commission.

Short-term missions (STM)  are trips designed to give Grace Bible Church attendees a chance to come alongside the work of our global engagement workers. Participants can expect exposure to  environments that are ethnically, culturally, or linguistically different than our lived experience in Dallas, Texas.

This year, we have committed to sending a team to Nigeria and Germany for the next five summers! We are also adding a short-term mission to Mexico in July.  Save the date and sign up for our next short-term mission informational session on Sunday,  July 24.
